To access the Class Settings:

- Go to the Admin Portal.
- Click Class Management from the menu on the Left.
- Select your class from the list of Active Classes or use the search field to find your class.
- Click the class name.
- Select Details.
- Click the Configuration tab.
- Make any changes to the settings.
- Click Save Changes.
How to customize the number of seats per table
An Engageli classroom open opens with 5 tables, each with 10 seats.
Use the slider to change the maximum number of seats per table.
It's recommended to leave the maximum number of seats per table at 10 so that individual instructors can customize their classroom's tables as needed.
How to customize other classroom settings
There are a number of settings that can be customized across an institution.
Settings
| If the setting is checked, it means that the setting is enabled. Uncheck a setting disable it. |
Default Settings
| Allow table sharing - Allows participants to share screens at individual tables | |
| Record learner's videos - Allows participant video feeds on the podium to be included in class recordings | |
| Auto start recording - Automatically starts the class recording after the instructor enters the classroom | |
| Turn off cameras upon login - Learner cameras will be turned off when first entering the classroom. Learners can turn them on. (This does not apply to instructors or TAs) | |
| Mute microphones upon entering - Learner microphones will be turned off when first entering the classroom. Learners can turn them on. (This does not apply to instructors or TAs) | |
| Allow peek into tables - Allows instructors using the Instructor Application to join and observe table activity unobtrusively (Not applicable to browser-based instructors) | |
| Open class in moderated mode (disabled for web-based instructor) - Allows instructors using the Instructor Application to approve or reject hand-raise requests for participants to go to the podium | |
| Enable clickable links in Chat - Allows participants to add clickable hyperlinks in the chat that open in new tabs | |
| Activate Engageli Tags automatically (PDF only) - Allows Engageli tags in PDFs to activate automatically when using the PDF Live Share | |
| Auto approve screen shares - Allows learner screen shares to be automatically approved without the instructor needing to take action | |
| Make reactions anonymous for learners - Makes reactions (thumbs up, thumbs down, heart, etc.) anonymous for all users | |
| Playback Configuration - Allow inviting guests to playback room |
To change the settings, click the checkbox to customize the settings. The classroom settings can also be adjusted within the live class.
