Enhance collaboration by adding annotations to shared files in Engageli. This article covers how instructors and learners can mark up documents in real-time.
When a File Share is active, the Instructor can annotate the the current slide being displayed by following the below instructions:
- Near the bottom-center of the screen, click the File Share's corresponding 3-dots menu, as shown in the image below:
- Select "Annotate" from the menu. The system will take a screenshot of the current slide and display it in a new tab, labeled "Annotated File" .
- In this new tab, you will notice a handful of icons on the left side of the screen, consisting of various annotation-related tools.
- To stop the annotation and return to the File Share, click the "Close" button at the top of the page.
By default, only Staff members can annotate. To allow learners to annotate the current slide, select the settings icon from panel of annotation tools and uncheck the "Restrict editing to staff" option.
