Engageli includes screen-sharing modes to optimize the viewing experience based on the type of content shared.
- Video Sharing Mode prioritizes the performance of streaming videos or animations within a shared screen. This works by increasing frame rate to 15FPS and HD resolution, 1920x1080.
- Users can enable this mode when sharing a screen with video/clip is choppy. If video sharing is not enabled before sharing, the user must stop sharing, enable video sharing mode, and then re-share.
When to use: When screen sharing a video. All users have Video Sharing Mode off as a default classroom setting. Video sharing sends more frames per second while screen sharing a video. The result is improved quality of screen shares with videos, especially when combined with high bandwidth mode.
Text Sharing Mode:
Text sharing mode prioritizes the quality of screen shares with static text content such as documents, slides, or spreadsheets.
Users can enable this mode when sharing a screen to reduce fuzzy or unclear text. If text sharing mode is not enabled before sharing, the user must stop sharing, enable text sharing mode, and then re-share.
When to use: When sharing static text content. All users have Text Sharing Mode off by default.
