Users can select and enable Compatibility Mode to help connect them to the classroom using a different communication method supported by firewalls.
This article covers the steps for all Engageli users to enable Compatibility Mode during their session, some reasons you may need to use compatibility mode are:
- You are unable to see or hear others video or audio during a session.
- Others are unable to see or hear your microphone or video.
- You are getting removed/kicked from a session unexpectedly.
- You are connecting to Engageli from a public or guest WiFi network.
- You experience any network or connection issues during a session.
Instructions for enabling Compatibility Mode for yourself as a Learner or an Instructor
- Click the More Actions (three dots) menu in the bottom right corner.
- Select Enable Compatibility Mode.
Instructions for enabling Compatibility Mode as the Instructor for all participants
- In the bottom left corner of a live class click on Settings.
- Select Class Configuration
- Toggle the switch next to Default to compatibility (RLM) mode to On.
- Click Save.
Note: Instructors can also enable this by default from the Common Configuration tab in the Admin Portal for the class.
