If you're having issues getting your Speaker, Microphone or Video to work in class, this article covers enabling both system and browser permissions so Engageli has access to them on MacOS.
Some of the reasons you may need to check these settings are:
- It's your first time using Engageli, or you're using a new browser to access Engageli.
- The device you want to use for Audio or Video is not listed in Engageli.
- You receive an error notification in the lobby that your Camera or Microphone are unreachable.
- You have the correct device selected, but it's still not providing video or audio.
- You're unable to start a screen share using Engageli.
- Your computer was recently updated and your permissions were reset.
The below instructions will walk you through configuring your MacOS settings to allow your browser access to your Mic/Webcam, as well as configuring your browser to allow engageli.com to access your Mic/Webcam.
