In Engageli, the Waiting Room and Staff Only Mode features help instructors manage classroom flow and engagement effectively. The Waiting Room allows instructors to control when learners enter the session, providing time to prepare materials or review content before learners join. In contrast, Staff Only Mode enables staff members, instructors and TAs, to hold private discussions or make final adjustments without learners being present. These features support smooth classroom management by giving instructors flexibility over who has access to the classroom and when.
Waiting Room: Use this when you want to control the timing of when learners enter the session. It allows instructors to admit learners individually or all at once, offering flexibility to prepare the class before the session begins.
Staff Only Mode: Use this when you have multiple staff, instructors and TAs, who might need to hold private discussions before letting learners join the classroom. This mode is ideal for pre-class coordination among staff or setting up the classroom environment without learner interruptions.
Each serves distinct purposes in efficiently managing learner access and class preparation.
Note: The Waiting Room and Staff Only Mode features cannot be enabled at the same time. If you have Interaction Controls enabled, and then enable the Waiting Room, Staff Only Mode will automatically be disabled.
