If you are using a small monitor and attempting to share your screen, you may encounter a situation where the the "Share" button gets cut off from the bottom of the window. This can happen in both Chrome and Brave browsers. Below is a screenshot of what this might look like--notice how the pop-up window has the bottom cut off, where the "Share" button would normally appear:
This will happen more often with a laptop, as laptops tend to have smaller monitors than desktop computers.
There are a few ways to address this, which we will list below:
- Increase the resolution of your monitor by going into your system's display settings.
- Decrease your font scaling. This setting can be found by going into your system's display settings.
- Use Microsoft Edge. Microsoft Edge will automatically resize the pop-up window to ensure the "Share" button is visible.
- Hit the F11 key on your keyboard to put the browser into fullscreen mode. Similarly, you can do this by going into your browser settings. Making your browser fullscreen will give it more vertical space, which might be enough to get the "Share" button to appear.
