If you were previously able to use Engageli normally, and you are suddenly experiencing being put into low capacity-mode, the steps in this article will show you the most common causes.
Low-capacity mode is automatically enabled when Engageli detects less than 6 computer cores in your browser, and can not be disabled. You can tell if this mode is enabled by hovering your mouse over the "Gallery" button if greyed out, It will say "Disabled in low-capacity mode" if it is.
Limitations of low-capacity mode include:
- Users cannot open the side or overlay gallery.
- The main Class Gallery tab appears small with fewer videos per page (8 total).
- Screen share and video quality will be lower quality.
Troubleshooting Steps

- If you're using Brave Browser, disable the Shields/Privacy Protection settings
- Open your classroom page to the lobby.
- Click the Lion icon on the right side of the address bar to reveal the Shields menu.
