Feature Updates and Enhancements
- Implemented additional verification checks when users load recordings in a Playback Room, enhancing reliability and preventing potential access issues.
- Added visibility into why an AI-generated chat summary could not be created during class, providing clearer feedback to users. Instead of saying 'The summary could not be generated' you will now see a reason, ie. '20 chat messages are required to create a summary'.
Note: This feature remains in beta for this release. - Improved breakout table functionality so that participants in breakout tables no longer hear system audio from class shares, minimizing audio overlap and distractions. See example flow below:
- Instructor designates table 1 as a breakout table.
- Instructor shares their screen and audio to the entire class.
- Learners at table 1 will not hear the audio from the instructor's share any longer (previously they would).
- If the instructor wants them to hear the class share audio, they could make table 1 a regular table or move learners from table 1 to a non-breakout table.
- Enhanced the Admin Portal > Classes > Advanced Search with additional filters, including the ability to search classes by the date of the last live session and the last time a user accessed its playback room.
UI Changes
- Updated the Leave Class dialog to improve navigation and usability for both staff and learners when exiting live classes or playback rooms.
- As part of our ongoing efforts to improve usability and visual clarity, the icons for class and table whiteboard tools have been updated in this release.
-

API Improvements
Improved the robustness and usability of the event-stream and classes APIs:
- The event-stream API no longer includes the redundant
count
key in each response item, reducing payload size and improving clarity. - The classes API now returns both archived and non-archived classes by default when the
archived
parameter is not specified. - The classes API now provides schedule datetime fields in ISO 8601 UTC format, ensuring consistency with all other APIs.
Bug Fixes
- Resolved an issue where certain classrooms were missing from the list when using the "Copy From Files Library" option in a classroom’s Content Manager. This only impacted multi-stack environments.
- Resolved an issue in Speaking Analytics where participation metrics were inaccurately calculated for learners seated alone or paired only with the Instructor, ensuring accurate engagement data.
- Resolved an issue where JSON data files uploaded via FTP were missing
occurrenceId
values for some class sessions. This only impacted partners using the legacy FTP workflow to access session data. - Resolved an issue where Instructors may not see the most recent poll answer from students rapidly changing their responses, preventing inaccuracies in poll results displayed in the pie chart and learner gallery.
- Resolved an issue where promoted teaching assistants were unable to flip pages of a file shared by the Instructor during class, restoring proper navigation of active File Shares.
