Overview
This article will cover the "Analytics" tab of the Class Portal. The "Analytics" tab provides data about classroom activity. For example, if you wanted to see how many users participated in each poll during a recent class session, you would find that here. Functionally, this tab closely mirrors the Classes > Analytics section you can find within the Admin Portal.
Below is a screenshot of a sample classroom's "Analytics" tab as seen from the Class Portal:
The "Analytics" tab contains a row of sub-tabs you can find along the top of the page, where analytics for the classroom are separated in various categories. See the below list for details about each of these sub-tabs:
- Attendance - This tab will display analytics relating to learner presence for live sessions and recordings. If you're looking to see overall or individual attendance data for live sessions and recordings, this is the page you'll want to review. This tab mirrors the same one found in the Admin Portal's Classes > Analytics > Attendance article. Please review that article for further details.
- Polls - This tab will display analytics relating to class polls, specifically, poll participation rates. This tab mirrors the same one found in the Admin Portal's Classes > Analytics > Polls article. Please review that article for further details.
- Camera - This tab will display analytics relating to camera on time. This tab mirrors the same one found in the Admin Portal's Classes > Analytics > Camera article. Please review that article for further details.
- Speaking Time - This tab will display analytics relating to the amount of speaking that occurred in the classroom. This tab mirrors the same one found in the Admin Portal's Classes > Analytics > Speaking Time article. Please review that article for further details.
- Raise Hand - This tab will display information relating to users raising their hands (i.e. getting up on the Podium) during live sessions. This tab mirrors the same one found in the Admin Portal's Classes > Analytics > Raise Hand article. Please review that article for further details.
- Chat - This tab will display analytics relating to chat messages sent within the classroom. This tab mirrors the same one found in the Admin Portal's Classes > Analytics > Chat article. Please review that article for further details.
- Notes - This tab will display analytics relating to taking notes. This tab mirrors the same one found in the Admin Portal's Classes > Analytics > Notes article. Please review that article for further details.
- Reactions - This tab will display analytics relating to reactions, specifically, reactions that were used by learners during the session. This tab mirrors the same one found in the Admin Portal's Classes > Analytics > Reactions article. Please review that article for further details.

Modules - This tab will display basic information for all the modules that exist for the class. Clicking on each row in the table will take you to that specific module's Analytics page. To learn more about Module Analytics, click here. Below is a sample of the table that appears in the Module's tab.
Notes
As noted earlier, this tab closely aligns with the Analytics section found in each classroom’s details within the Admin Portal. A few key elements stand out:
- You can switch between Chart and List views, just as you can in the Admin Portal's Analytics. This toggle can be found at the top-left of the page, when avaialble.
- You can export a CSV of the data currently displayed on the screen, when available, via the "Export CSV" button at the right-right of the page.

An additional export option appears in the top‑right corner of the page. Depending on which analytics sub‑tab you're viewing, you'll see either "Export Analytics" or "Export Modules Analytics". Each button serves a different purpose:

Export Analytics - Generates a single .xlsx file that consolidates analytics for Attendance, Camera, Speaking Time, Polls, Raise Hand, Chat, Notes, and Reactions. Selecting this button opens a window with the following options:
- Start Date Range - Choose the beginning of the date range.
- End Date Range - Choose the end of the date range.
- Participant Filter - Include any combination of: Registered Learners, Registered Staff, Guest Learners, and Guest Staff.
- Status Filter - Include any combination of Active and Inactive users.
- Export - Downloads the resulting .xlsx file.

Export Modules Analytics - Creates a single .xlsx file that aggregates analytics for all Published modules. Selecting this button open a window with the following options:
- Start Date Range - Choose the beginning of the date range.
- End Date Range - Choose the end of the date range.
- Export - Downloads the resulting .xlsx file.

You can export Quiz analytics via the "Export Quiz Report" button at the top-right of the page. This .xlsx file will provide granular details of any Quizzes that were ran within the classroom, including the individual questions, what each participant submitted as their response, and whether it was the correct answer. Below are the options provided for the export:
- Start Date Range - Choose the beginning of the date range.
- End Date Range - Choose the end of the date range.
- Participant Filter - Include any combination of: Registered Learners, Registered Staff, Guest Learners, and Guest Staff.
- Status Filter - Include any combination of Active and Inactive users.
