This article explores the "Add Activity" feature available when editing a module, highlighting the various types of activities you can include.
When adding an activity to your module, a window will appear, where you can select from a number of activities. A screenshot is provided below, showing all the activities available for selection:
We offer a wide variety of activities to choose from. We'll describe each one below:
- Empty - Select this option to insert an empty activity marker. It can serve as a placeholder for activities you plan to add later or as a tool to segment the base video. For instance, if you want to conceal a 10-second portion of the video, you can place empty markers before and after it to isolate the segment, then hide it.
- PDF / PowerPoint - Choose either "PDF" or "PowerPoint" to add the corresponding document-based activity. While they're categorized separately, both follow the same workflow and offer nearly identical configuration options. For further details, you can explore the article linked here.
- Video Clip - Select this option to a video clip activity designed to supplement the primary content. It's ideal for adding coverage of topics that may be missing or not fully explored in the base video. To learn more about this activity, click here.
- YouTube Video - You may use this option to insert a YouTube video containing content that isn't covered--or not covered in sufficient detail--in the module's base video. To learn more about this option, click here.
