Feature Updates & Enhancements

• The overlay gallery has been revamped. It now behaves more like the Class Gallery. See below for a screenshot of the new overlay gallery:
  Below are some notable functions that have been carried over from the Class Gallery:
  • Improved quality of video streams
  • Users can now manually flip through gallery pages–if there is more than one page to view. Previously, this was not possible and pages were automatically scrolled through with no option to disable the auto-scroll.
  • The “Sort By” dropdown is now present in the floating window, allowing more control over auto-scrollng, sorting, etc, as shown below:
    
  • Hovering over the user’s webcam video will reveal a 3-dots menu, where certain actions can be applied to the user. As with the Class Gallery, the options available under this menu will depend on your role in the class session. Below is a screenshot, as seen from the Instructor role:
    

Fixes

• There was an issue where submitting your text poll response as you watched a class recording in the Playback Room failed to trigger the appearance of a green check mark to confirm the submission was successful. This was only a visual issue and is now resolved.
• During recorded live sessions, a message of “Recorder is currently unavailable. Please wait.” would occasionally appear, as well as the recording indicator turning off. This was a visual issue that did not affect the quality or completeness of the recording itself and is now resolved.
• AI-generated Quick Polls were occasionally failing to be created when they should have been successful. This is now resolved.
• With the revamped overlay gallery, the issue where using this feature would cause Chrome to crash on a number of macOS devices is resolved.
