The "Video Clip" view can be accessed through the Views Tabs section. When selected, it displays the video clip actively being shared with the classroom. This tab will only be visible if the Instructor is sharing a video clip with the classroom. An example of the Video Clip view is shown below:
As you can see, the entirely of the main panel will consist of the video clip being shared.
To maintain a consistent viewing experience, only Instructors have access to the video player controls, which are detailed below. Learners and TAs are limited to a single action: double‑clicking the video to switch it to fullscreen mode.
Classroom Instructors will have access to the following video player controls:
- Play / Pause - Starts or stops the video for the entire class.
- Volume Adjust - Adjusts the video's audio level, affecting all participants.
- Fullscreen - Expands the video to fullscreen for you only. Other participants must double‑click the video themselves if they wish to view it fullscreen.
- Seek Bar - Displays the video's progress and allows navigation to different points. Any changes made here will move the video to that position for the entire class.
The Video Clip view is designed specifically for playing video files uploaded to Engageli (e.g., mp4, avi). When these clips are shown during class, they are streamed directly from Engageli's servers.
