Adding a poll to your presentation can help you learn more about your learners and check their understanding of the material.
This article will guide you through the process of creating a poll.
- Go to Admin Portal > Action Tags Lab > Polls to bring up the the various poll creation tools.
-
Decide if this is a single choice, multiple choice, or text input poll. We've described each type below:
- Single choice: This poll will have multiple options to select and the user can select only one of them.
- Multiple choice: This poll will have multiple options to select and the user can as many of them as they wish.
- Text input (word cloud): This poll will require the user to type in a short response. User responses will be represented as a word cloud.
-
Set up your slide or document with your question, leaving room for the tags (QR codes). Below is a sample image of a slide that contains the question, room for the QR codes, and a label for each corresponding choice. In this scenario, instead of labeling each choice with a word, we've used a graphic/icon.
-
Insert the action tag into the spaces you've reserved for them. Insertion can be done by copying-and-pasting the tags from the Actions Tags Lab or by saving the images and adding them to the document. How this is done will vary, depending on the application you are using to create your slides or document. Below is an image of the final product.
Note: You cannot combine multiple poll types on the same slide or document, as only one poll can be activated at a time. Additionally, the action tags should be large enough that the system scanner can identify them. We recommend a minimum resolution of 75x75px in size.
Once your poll is created, here to learn how to use them.
