The Chat, Q&A, and Notes features help foster an active learning and collaborative environment.
Chat
On Engageli, you can message individual learners, the instructor or co-instructor, table mates, or the entire class. The intended recipients selected are the only ones who can see it.
The "Attach files" button is a great way to upload slides or other class materials.
- Make sure that “@Everone” is in the dropdown box.
- Click the Upload File button at the bottom of the chat window.
- Navigate to the file I want to give learners and click on it from your computer.
- Click Open - The file appears in the chat window with a Download button learners use to download the file to their systems.
The Download button is used to download chat at any point during the class.
Note: Chats are deleted for individuals as soon as you log out of the classroom or the class has ended. Make sure to download the notes before you leave class.

Mark the Correct Answer
Instructor and Co-Instructor only
To approve an answer as correct, hover over the entry in the forum and click on the thumbs-up icon. When an answer is approved, it becomes green within the forum.
Note: More than one answer may be marked as correct.
Remove a Question or Response
Instructor and Co-Instructor only
To remove a question or answer from the Q&A, hover over the question or answer and click on the bin icon to delete.
Engagement Tip! Q&A threads always persist between class sessions and all users can see this. This can be helpful to learners when reviewing back material for a quiz or exam, or while doing homework. Q&A forums are a great way to see if other learners have asked the same questions.
Notes
