What’s New?

Browser-Based Instruction

With Engageli 2.0, instructors can now lead a class using a web browser instead of downloading the application. 

  • Optimized device and Internet bandwidth
  • New interface with a user-friendly login screen

Enhancements

Co-Instructor Functionality

  • Improved co-instructor functionality, tool access including activating polls, creating tables, recording classes, starting a timer, etc

Application-Based Instruction 

  • Updated interface with a user-friendly login screen
  • New ‘Manage Class’ button for quick Portal access from the login screen
  • Improved icons and tooltips for easier annotation 
  • Improved engagement markers for better insights into learner activity 

Connectivity and Media Test

  • New self-test capability for audio, microphone, camera, screen share, and connectivity before starting a class

Chat history

  • Added ability to download chat history

Tables

  • Additional table views including the number of seats available at each table (full or empty)
  • Automatic clearing of reservations after ~3 minutes of inactivity

Recordings

  • New notification when recording is on, paused, or stopped
  • New Play, Pause, and Stop buttons with familiar icons
  • Ability to record classes in discussion mode

Miro Whiteboard Integration 

  • Ability to seamlessly integrate Miro whiteboards in class

Data Analytics and Reports

  • Enhanced tracking and reporting capabilities to provide insights  and data on learner activity and behavior 

Portal Enhancements 

  • Added a new Search button to quickly find classes 
  • Added ability to change user roles in the class roster
  • Enhanced media file uploader with a drag and drop zone 
  • Added ability to create multiple classes from a single CSV file
  • Time zones and overlapping class times are now available on the class scheduler 

Learners and Guests

  • Updated learner interface with a simplified toolbar for quick access to most used features (audio controls, hand raise, thumbs up/down, feedback emojis, etc.)
  • New collapsable right-side panel for learner tools (Table view, Notes, Chat, Q&A)
  • Added ability for guests to provide a name upon login to personalize access
