As an instructor, you can access a recording of your Engageli class in the Playback room or download the file directly. Follow the steps below to access links to your class recordings.
1. Login to the Engageli portal.
2. Find your class under Classes (Class Management in v3.0), then click Recordings and you will see a list of all recordings.
3. Select Link to class to be directed to a link of the class recording in the Engageli Playback room. The recording in the Playback room will display any polls run during the class, and learners viewing the recording asynchronously will be able to participate in the polls. The notes that learners take during class and answers to Q&A questions persist in the Playback room to provide an optimal viewing experience for learners. You can access all recordings directly from the same Engageli classroom link that you use for your live classes.
Attendance is recorded and can be viewed in the Admin Portal for learners who watch the class recording in an Engageli Playback room.
4. Select Link to file to access an MP4 file of the recording. Unlike the recording in the Engageli Playback room, the MP4 file does not display poll results. You can convert the file as needed and upload it to a video hosting platform such as YouTube, Vimeo, or Kaltura. If you want to copy the link, click the file link directly and allow it to open in a new browser window. If you right-click and copy the link, learners will have to authenticate and view the recording in an Engageli Playback room.
Attendance is not recorded for learners who watch a shared MP4 file of the class recording.
Note: Before sharing recordings with the class, please check the FERPA guidelines at your institution. Playback rooms can be accessed through the same class link that authenticates learners to enter the live session. The mp4 recordings can be downloaded by anyone if they have the link and can be shared externally.
