The Engageli Action Tags Lab provides tags that you can use to help run an entire class session.

Including tags in your presentation slides and documents will reduce the cognitive load and orchestration required to conduct and manage your class, as certain actions can be automated or prepared ahead of time. This frees up more of your time to focus on delivering the content you love, teaching in a more engaging way, and providing a smooth learning experience for your class.
To access the Action Tags Lab, log into the Admin Portal and click "Action Tags Lab" from the left-hand column, as shown below.
As you will see, we offer a variety of tags that can help to automate certain actions during your class session. Please see the related articles for more details on what each of these actions does.
How to Use an Action Tag
Actions tags are used by inserting their corresponding QR codes into a document or slide. When the document or slide is being shared with the classroom, you can click the "Activate" button from the bottom-center menu to trigger the action.
Below is an example of a File Share that contains a slide with a "Timer" action tag in it. Notice the "Activate" button at the bottom-center menu. Clicking this button would trigger the action tag, which is a 10-minute timer.
Auto-Activating Action Tags
Engageli offers an option to allow the system to automatically activate actions tags. So, instead of clicking "Activate" each time you arrive on a slide that contains an action tag, the system can automatically do it for you.
This setting is configured on a classroom-by-classroom basis, but can be configured at the site level such that all new classrooms created will have it defaulted to enabled.
Configuring the Default for All New Classrooms
To enable this, by default, on all new classrooms, enable it at the site level. The below instructions will guide you through this process:
- As a Super Admin, log into the Admin Portal.
- From the left-hand menu, click "Site Management"
- Navigate to the "Class Configuration" tab
- Look for and mark the checkbox next to "Activate Engageli Tags automatically (PDF only)"
- Click the "Save Changes" button to apply your change.

Configuring for an Individual Classroom
To enable this on an individual, existing classroom:
- In the Admin Portal, navigate to classroom's Details tab
- Navigate to the "Live Configuration" tab.
- Look for and mark the checkbox next to "Activate Engageli Tags automatically (PDF only)"
- Click the "Save Changes" button to apply your change.
