The overlay gallery allows you to see your learners while viewing a presentation, poll, screen share, or video clip on the main screen. Learn how to use overlays to enhance class discussions and presentations.
Instructions
There are 2 ways to open the overlay gallery. We'll cover both below:
- From the "Class Gallery" tab, select the "Open overlay gallery" button, found near the top of the page, as shown below.
- From the 3-dots menu at the bottom-right of your screen, select "Show overlay gallery", as shown below.
The overlay gallery will appear as a floating window that contains all the learner's videos. You can resize this window by dragging at the edges. You can also move it around by clicking on the window and dragging it--if you have a second monitor, you can even move it there! Below is a screenshot of what the overlay gallery looks like.
You can use the overlay gallery when you:
- Share a screen
- Show a video clip
- Enable whiteboards
- Distribute shared documents
- Visit tables
- Share a PDF
- Are viewing a learner’s screen share
Pro Tip! You can use the overlay gallery while presenting so you can keep the right panel open for the Chat or Q&A.
