This article explains the Quiz Template option found under a classroom's Class Portal > Content > Add Content menu. This option lets you create a new Quiz question set and save it to the classroom.
After selecting the option, you'll be taken to the Quiz Template Creator screen, shown in the example below:
This screen functions much like the "Manual Creator" tab used when starting a Quiz activity during a live class session, with the exception of the "Create with AI" dropdown. This article will cover how the "Create with AI" dropdown works from this screen. For details on the other fields and workflows shared with the live Quiz creator, refer to the Live Classroom > Bottom Panel > Present > Quiz article.
When selecting the "Create with AI" dropdown, you'll be presented with the following options:
- Based On - Click here to select the source material you'd like the AI engine to use in creating the questions. You'll be presented with a navigation window, where you can select a content item from this classroom or another classroom. At this time, only PDF and PPTX files can be selected as source material.
- Number of Questions - Set the number of questions to be auto-generated.
-
Advanced - This section provides additional options for customizing the AI-generated question set:
- Guide Your Quiz - An optional instruction field where you can give the AI engine specific guidance. For instance, if multiple topics are covered in your source material, but you want the questions to focus on one particular subject, you can enter that here to steer the questions in the desired direction.
- Generate - Once you’ve finished configuring your options, click this button to generate the questions. After a few seconds, the AI-generated questions will be appended to the existing list of questions.
