This guide walks through how to add an Engageli LTI link to a Moodle course. It illustrates a common setup used in many Moodle environments, but your organization's configuration may differ. If you have questions about your specific implementation, please reach out to your Moodle administrator.
- From the top navigation bar, select the "My Courses" tab, then select the course to which you'd like to add the link, as shown below:
- Once the course has loaded, enable "Edit Mode" by toggling its corresponding switch at the top-right of the page. Below is a image of this toggle, for reference:
- Once the page is enabled for editing, select the "+ Add an activity or resource" button within the section to which you'd like to add the link. We've highlighted the location of this button in a sample section in the below image:
- A pop-up window should now appear, where you'll look for an activity named "Engageli" or similar (will vary depending on what your Moodle admin decided). Below is an image you can use for reference:
- Upon selecting the entry, you'll be returned to the course area, where you will see various fields you can configure for the link, as shown below:
- You can finish this step by entering a relevant title in the "Activity Name" field--once that's set, the basic setup is complete. If you'd rather customize the link using Engageli's deeplink options, select "Select Content" to open a pop‑up window where you can choose and apply your preferred settings. When everything looks right, click "Save and Return to Course" at the bottom of the page, as shown below:
- Back in the course details page, you'll see the new link you've added. Clicking this link will open a new browser tab and load the Engageli classroom, as seen in the animation below:
