The Admin Portal and Class Portal are both used by Super Admins and Instructors to manage classroom settings. The features they offer for classroom management mostly overlap and using one over the other is simply a matter of preference.
We've outlined some specifics about each of them below to help understand their differences:
- The Admin Portal was created before the Class Portal.
- The Class Portal was designed specifically with Instructors in mind, providing them with easier access to their classroom management area. However, nearly all tasks available in the Class Portal can also be performed in the Admin Portal.
- The Admin Portal can be used by Super Admins to manage sitewide settings for the organization's Engageli instance. The Class Portal does not offer the ability to manage sitewide settings.
- The Admin Portal allows you to search for and manage all classrooms within your organization's Engageli instance. In contrast, the Class Portal has a narrower focus, enabling you to configure only the classroom from which you accessed it.
