If you're trying to choose a camera or microphone in Engageli but the dropdown menu shows messages like "No video devices" or "No devices", your computer isn't detecting the hardware it needs.
Below is an example of the Live Classroom's "Settings" > "Audio & Video" panel as seen by someone who does not have a webcam or microphone installed on their machine:
In this example, the Camera menu is grayed out and displays "No video devices", and the Microphone menu is also disabled with "No devices".
If you see the same messages for your camera, microphone, or both--and you know those devices should be available--it typically indicates a hardware or driver issue. To be clear, this isn't caused by permission settings and you cannot resolve this by adjusting browser or system permissions; your computer genuinely isn't detecting any devices.
To resolve this, we recommend reaching out to your organization's IT department or whoever provided your device.
