This article will review the "+ Add Content" button, found in the top-right corner of a classroom's "Class Portal" > "Content" tab. Selecting this button icon will open a menu, where you can select the type of content you want to add. Below is a screenshot of this menu, showing all the options:
Below, we'll describe each of the options seen in this menu:
- Import from other classes - If the content you're attempting to upload already exists in another classroom, you can select this option to open a navigator window, where you can look for the other classroom and specific item to import.

PDF - Select this option to upload a PDF file, where a file browser will open, allowing you to locate the PDF document to be uploaded.
- Prepare for Studio - If you plan to use this video in a Studio module, be sure to mark this box, so that we can begin processing it for use in Studio as soon as the upload is complete.

Video Clip - Select this option to upload a video file. A file browser window will open, allowing you to locate the video file to be uploaded. We support a wide variety of video format types, including: FLV, MP4, M3U8, TS, 3GP, MOV, AVI, WMV, MKV, WEBM.
- Prepare for Studio - If you plan to use this video in a Studio module, be sure to mark this box, so that we can begin processing it for use in Studio as soon as the upload is complete.
- YouTube - Select this option to provide a link to a YouTube video. You will be prompted for the YouTube video link and the Title/Name to assign this item. Note: Any restrictions on the YouTube video, such as age or country, would still be applicable when sharing it via our platform. Therefore, consider removing such restrictions on the video to ensure users don't encounter issues when watching it.
- PowerPoint - Select this option to upload a PowerPoint file. We only support PPTX files. If you have an older PowerPoint slideshow in PPT format, you will need to convert it to PPTX beforehand.
- Whiteboard Template - Select this option to create an Engageli Whiteboard template. You'll be presented with an empty whiteboard with which you can make your usual edits to get it into the state you want. Once done, hit "Create" to save this for later use. Important: Whiteboard Templates can only be used as activities within Studio; they cannot be accessed or used during live class sessions.
- Poll Template - Select this option to create a new Poll question set. For details on the Poll creation screen, please visit the Live Classroom > Bottom Panel > Present > Poll article.
- Quiz Template - Select this option to create a new Quiz question set. For details on the Quiz creation screen, please visit the Class Portal > Content > Add Content > Quiz Template article.
- Sprint Template - Select this option to create a new Sprint question set. For details on the Sprint creation screen, please visit the Class Portal > Content > Add Content > Sprint Template article.
- Engageli Document Template - Select this option to create an Engageli Document template. You'll be presented with an empty document with which you can make your usual edits to get it into the state you want. Once done, hit "Create" to save this for later use.
